Google’s official specifications confirm the 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display, Tensor G6 processor, 5,115mAh battery, 45W wired charging and triple-camera setup.

A 6.8-inch Super Actua Display

The Pixel 11 Pro XL features a 6.8-inch Super Actua display with a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Google lists a resolution of 1344 × 2992 and peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits.

The panel also uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 with an anti-scratch shield.

For users who watch videos, browse the web or edit photos on their phone, the XL format provides more screen space than the standard Pixel 11 Pro.

Tensor G6 and Gemini AI

At the heart of the Pixel 11 Pro XL is the new Google Tensor G6 chip.

Google designed the processor around its broader Gemini Intelligence strategy, with the latest Gemini Nano model running directly on the device. This allows Google to integrate AI more deeply into everyday smartphone functions.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL also introduces features designed to make the phone more proactive rather than simply reactive.

One example is HiLight, which uses colored lights around the camera flash to provide glanceable notifications without requiring users to turn on the display. It can even indicate when Gemini is listening, processing or responding.

Pixel 11 Pro XL Camera System

Photography remains one of the Pixel series’ biggest strengths.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL uses a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultrawide camera with Macro Focus, and a 48MP 5x telephoto camera with optical image stabilization. Google supports Pro Zoom up to 120x.

Google also highlights new image sensors and major camera improvements across the Pixel 11 lineup.

The real advantage here is not simply megapixel count. Google combines camera hardware with computational photography and AI processing to improve how photos are captured and edited.

Battery and Charging

The 5,115mAh battery is another important advantage of the XL model.

Google rates the Pixel 11 Pro XL for 30+ hours of battery life. With a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher, the company says the phone can reach up to 75% charge in around 30 minutes. Wireless Pixelsnap charging supports up to 25W.

For a large flagship smartphone, this combination of battery capacity and charging speed makes the XL version particularly appealing to heavy users.

The biggest differences are size, battery capacity and charging speed.

Both models use Tensor G6, offer the same Pro camera system and provide the same seven-year update commitment.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL therefore makes the most sense for people who want a bigger display and faster charging.

Seven Years of Software Updates

Long-term software support is one of Google’s strongest arguments.

The Pixel 11 series comes with seven years of OS, security and Pixel Drop updates. Google is also bundling six months of Google AI Pro with its Pro models in supported markets, including expanded Gemini usage and 5TB of cloud storage.

That makes the Pixel 11 Pro XL more attractive for buyers planning to keep their phone for several years.

Pixel 11 Pro XL Price

Our Verdict

The Google Pixel 11 Pro XL is one of Google’s most ambitious smartphones yet. Instead of focusing purely on raw performance, Google is building its flagship around AI, photography, software integration and long-term support.

The combination of Tensor G6, Gemini, a 6.8-inch Super Actua display, a 5,115mAh battery and a versatile triple-camera system makes the Pixel 11 Pro XL a strong premium Android option.

Its biggest drawbacks are its size, 226g weight and $1,299 starting price.

For users who want Google’s best large-screen Pixel with advanced AI and photography features, the Pixel 11 Pro XL is the model to consider.
